Map Control:

Map control is the ability to occupy and influence key areas of the map so the opposing team has fewer safe routes, options, and information. In Counter-Strike 2, teams use map control to create pressure, gather information, set up crossfires, and open space for an execute or rotation. It is a core part of both attack and defense, since controlling important lanes, chokepoints, and utility-heavy areas often decides which team can move safely and which team must react.
