Plant is the act of placing the bomb at a bombsite in Counter-Strike 2. In Bomb Defusal maps, the Terrorist team must plant the C4 to start the bomb timer, while the Counter-Terrorists try to stop the plant or retake the site afterward.

The term also appears in phrases like “fast plant,” “safe plant,” or “plant for default,” which describe where and how the bomb is set to support a team’s post-plant position.
