Quickscope:

A quickscope is a sniper shot fired almost immediately after scoping in, so the shot lands with minimal delay and the player spends very little time zoomed in.

In Counter-Strike 2, the term is used for rifles such as the AWP and SSG 08 when a player snaps the crosshair onto a target, briefly scopes, and fires before fully settling into a long-held zoom. It matters because it lets an AWPer challenge angles faster, reduce exposure time, and react in close or mid-range fights where staying scoped too long can be dangerous. For example, a player holding an off-angle on Mirage may quickscope an enemy who swings Palace, firing immediately after scoping instead of waiting to line up a prolonged shot.
