A rotate, or rotation, is when a player or team moves from one part of the map to another, usually to reinforce a site, respond to enemy pressure, or reposition after information changes.

In Counter-Strike 2, rotations are a core part of defense and retakes, because teams must decide when to leave a weak area and support the side that is under attack. Good rotations depend on timing, map control, and communication.
