Spray control, or recoil control, is the skill of compensating for a weapon’s kick while holding down the trigger so shots stay on target. In Counter-Strike 2, it matters because automatic weapons spread upward and sideways as they fire, and learning the pattern helps keep bursts and full sprays accurate in close and mid-range fights.

Players usually practice it by pulling the mouse in the opposite direction of a gun’s recoil pattern and timing shots to maintain accuracy.
