Creep:

A creep is a non-hero unit in Dota 2, such as lane creeps, neutral creeps, or summoned creeps. Creeps are a core source of gold and experience, and they control lane pressure, map movement, and many timing decisions during a match.

Players last-hit enemy creeps to gain resources and deny their opponents some of that value. In teamfights and skirmishes, creep waves and neutral camps also affect vision, pushing, and farming patterns.
