Slow is a debuff that reduces a unit’s movement speed, and sometimes attack speed or both, for a limited time. In Dota 2, slows are used to chase enemies, stop escapes, and make it easier to land spells or attacks.

Slow effects can come from abilities, items, or attacks, and they are often paired with disables, damage over time, or ranged harassment.
