Focus fire is the practice of multiple teammates concentrating damage on the same enemy target at the same time. In Overwatch 2, it is used to secure eliminations quickly before an opponent can be healed, protected, or escape. Coordinated focus fire is especially important against high-value targets such as supports or isolated enemies, because it turns scattered damage into a fast kill.
