SR means Skill Rating, a number used in Overwatch to represent a player’s competitive rank in a skill-based matchmaking system. In practice, SR was the score players gained or lost after competitive matches to move through ranks such as Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Overwatch 2 no longer uses SR as the visible competitive score in the same way, but the term still appears in older guides and player discussions about ranked play.
