Challenge:

A challenge is an attempt to contest the ball by driving or jumping toward it to disrupt an opponent’s play, win possession, or force a mistake. In Rocket League, challenges are a core part of defense and midfield play, and they are often described as a 50/50 when both cars meet the ball at roughly the same time. Good challenges help stop attacks, create turnovers, and buy time for teammates to rotate.
