Grand Champion is one of Rocket League’s competitive rank tiers, placed above Champion and below Supersonic Legend. It is earned by winning ranked matches and reflects a high level of consistency in car control, positioning, rotation, and aerial play.

The rank matters because it marks players who can reliably read fast play and convert scoring chances under pressure. In ranked queues, a Grand Champion player is expected to recover quickly after challenges, rotate back into the play instead of chasing, and punish small defensive mistakes. For example, in a 2v2 match, a Grand Champion team may turn a loose midfield touch into an immediate counterattack by controlling the ball into an aerial or a quick pass to an open teammate.
