Hoops / Dropshot / Rumble / Snow Day:

Hoops, Dropshot, Rumble, and Snow Day are Rocket League extra game modes that replace standard soccer with mode-specific rules and objectives.

Hoops is basketball-style play with goals above the field. Dropshot uses a hexagonal floor that breaks when the ball lands on it, and teams score by opening holes in the opponent’s side. Rumble adds random power-ups that can affect the ball, cars, or positioning. Snow Day swaps the ball for a puck and plays like ice hockey. These modes matter because they change rotation, positioning, and challenge selection, so players often need different approaches than in regular 3v3. For example, a clear in Snow Day is often a low, controlled push on the puck, while in Rumble a player may save a shot with a power-up instead of a standard aerial touch.
