Entry / Entry Fragger:

An entry fragger is the player who takes first contact on an attack or retake, leading the way into a site or choke point and trying to create space for the rest of the team. In VALORANT, entry fraggers are often the first to peek, clear dangerous angles, and force defenders to react so teammates can follow and trade if needed.

The role matters because successful entries make attacks easier and help convert map control into a planted spike or a winning retake.
