Nutmeg is when the ball goes through or past an opponent’s car, leaving them beaten on the play.

In Rocket League, the term is used for a clean offensive or defensive touch that slips between a defender and the ball, often because the defender missed, jumped late, or was positioned poorly. A nutmeg matters because it creates an immediate advantage: the attacker keeps possession, opens space for a shot, or forces the defender to turn and recover. For example, a forward dribbles toward goal and flicks the ball just as a defender challenges, sending it under the car and into open space for a follow-up touch.
